Video report

Watch a video of our recent job fair

The eighteenth edition of the Job Fair, the first after a three-year break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for Projects and Cooperation, KUE professor Piotr Buła, DSc. During the Fair, employers presented their companies at the stands and recruited prospective employees from among students and graduates of KUE and other universities. The stands of companies in the financial, banking and IT sectors turned out to be the most popular. The Rector of the Krakow University of Economics, KUE professor Stanisław Mazur, DSc, was also in attendance.

Job fair programme

Exhibition programme and additional opportunities

Nine of them conducted meetings, which gathered a total of over two hundred participants. Among the most popular topics of speeches were: the currently trending combination of work and travel (“Work smart, travel hard – combine work with passion for travel” – presentation by the Lufthansa company); learning how to use spreadsheets (“Corporate Excel” – presentation by the Getinge Shared Services companies); as well as creating a profile on LinkedIn to find the best job (“Student, let yourself be found…! or how to start a career with LinkedIn”–an ABB presentation).

Cv point

by now a mandatory item on the agenda – was present, of course: a zone where visitors were able to have their CVs accessed by recruiters from 20 companies. A professional career advisor from the Regional Labour Office in Kraków was also available. During this latest edition, the CV Point was visited by a total of nearly one hundred people. The most visited companies were State Street Bank, ABB, and Shell.

Erasmus+ space

Once again, during the Job Fair, students and graduates of KUE were able to find their dream internships abroad in the Erasmus+ Space zone. Exhibitors from Greece and Spain encouraged visitors to take advantage of attractive internship offers in their countries.

#GoodVibesACK

It was for the first time that the #GoodVibesACK zone appeared at the Fair, where you could relax, try healthy snacks, and learn about the possibilities of taking care of your wellbeing. Students also completed an on-line survey regarding their wellbeing in connection with studying at KUE. Among the participants of the survey, 12 sets of prizes funded by ABB were drawn.

The next edition of the fair is scheduled for spring 2023.
