Erasmus+ internships

Before you go on an internship with Erasmus+ you need to remember two things.

Document preparation

We outline the procedure for preparing documents for international internships. It applies to people who have already applied, have been shortlisted for the Erasmus+ programme, have found a specific company where they will do an internship and are preparing to leave.

Completion and settlement of Erasmus+ internships

To account for the practice you will need:

  • Learning Agreement Before the Mobility – original (completed electronically, with the employer’s handwritten signature),
  • Learning Agreement After the Mobility – original (completed electronically, with the employer’s handwritten signature) signed on the last day of the placement at the earliest,
  • Internship Confirmation After– original (with employer’s handwritten signature),
  • Practice evaluation questionnaire (downloaded from the our website).

The above documents should be delivered to the SCC office (Księżówka building, room K1) or sent by post to: Akademickie Centrum Kariery UEK, ul. Rakowicka 27, 31-510 Kraków

  • Post-internship OLS test – the link will be sent after the internship’s completion; you will need to create an account in the system and complete the English Placement Test (if the internship’s language was English; there are similar tests for other languages);
  • Post-internship questionnaire – the link will be sent to the e-mail address you provided beforehand.
  • Before the end of the internship, please send a scan of the Learning Agreement After the Mobility to SCC for approval by our staff.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Erasmus+ placements

Below you will find the questions that arise most often in connection with the Erasmus+ internship program abroad. If you still have any doubts after reading this, do not hesitate to write us – we will complete the list of questions.

If the country you have chosen in the application form at the recruitment stage no longer suits you, you can change it to a country from the same financial group (more information in the Erasmus+ Internship 2022/2023 – general information section). When it comes to choosing a country with a higher grant rate (e.g. changing from group 2 to group 1), please contact the SCC employee individually – the decision will be made in accordance with the program budget.

You qualified for the program, but your plans have changed, and you cannot go? Send your resignation to the SCC by e-mail. Cancellation before departure is without consequences (there are no penalties involved).

Yes! Searching for an employer is one of the main tasks that each participant of foreign internships in the Erasmus+ program must undertake.

The Learning Agreement is a document that you complete with your employer before and after your internship. It consists of three parts: Before, During and After. Each must be completed ELECTRONICALLY and signatures underneath must be handwritten. SCC must receive the original documents.

Housing is your individual business. The university will not interfere in any way. You are encouraged to use the Facebook groups that are dedicated to Erasmus students looking for accommodation. You can also find an offer with guaranteed accommodation, in addition free of charge. Such internships are offered, for example, by Placement Slovakia – the internship search engine linked on our website.

Of course! It will be a big plus for you if the practice you find turns out to be paid. The grant received from the University is in the nature of additional funding and not the main source of income.

Each student can take advantage of 12 months’ mobility abroad at every level of studies (at uniform master’s studies, this is 24 months). The minimum internship period is 2 months. This is a mandatory amount of time for the internship to be credited by Erasmus+.

If you are travelling as a student, you can do the internship during the holidays. If you want to leave during the academic year, you must ask for the consent of the relevant Dean’s Office and your Academic Supervisor (if you already have one). In turn, graduate trips typically take place after the defense of the diploma thesis, i.e. after graduation.

You can go on a graduate internship as early as two weeks after defending your thesis. Once you have found an employer, inform us as soon as possible and start the departure procedure. You will need two weeks to prepare all documents without rushing.

Once you have passed the recruitment for the Erasmus+ internship programme, you can start looking for an employer. It is best to do this as soon as possible, taking into account the end date of the current Erasmus+ programme.

Once you are selected for the Erasmus+ programme, you are also guaranteed a subsidy for your trip. All you have to do is look for an employer and start the mobility procedure.

You will receive the first instalment of the grant of 85% once you have signed the agreement with the University, while the remaining 15% will be paid to you once the internship has been completed and settled at the University (you have up to one month from the date of completion of the internship).

Yes, you can leave again if you still have enough mobility capital. This trip will be equally subsidised.

KUE in Dubai! – Summary of Erasmus+ internship

4 April 2022

The Expo 2020 Dubai World Expo opened on 1 October 2021, and with it, for the first time ever, internships for students from the Krakow University of Economics (and four other Polish universities) in the Poland Pavilion. 20 ambitious students from our university, divided into two groups, took over as hosts of the Polish part of the exhibition, representing KUE and our country in the best possible way. On 31 March 2022, the exhibition became history and our students returned to their everyday lives. In the pages of the ‘Kurier UEK’, they shared their impressions of their time in Dubai and summarised the experiences they had gained in the UAE.
