Guest Speakers:
Isabel Otero Barderas is currently working as Press Officer at the Spokesperson Service of the European Commission, in charge of Budget and Administration. Since she joined the Commission in 2020, she has worked at the Secretariat-General, where she was Policy Assistant for the Multiannual Financial Framework Unit, and later on she was Legal Officer in DG Budget, as coordinator for the legal rules of the financial regulation for Decentralised Agencies. Isabel does other things in her free time, such as having a podcast titled Talk Brussels, and continue to inform citizens on the European Union.
Aleksandra Szkutnik-Wolszczak is a lawyer and policy expert working at the European Commission in Brussels. She currently focuses on EU-Ukraine relations and legal aspects of the Ukraine Plan. Over the years, she has worked on EU economic, financial, and tax policy, both within the European Commission and representing Poland in Brussels. She was also actively involved in Poland’s first Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2011. She enjoys working on European affairs and sharing insights about how the EU operates behind the scenes.
