Rules for obligatory internships

Before starting an internship, it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the rules on how to pass it. At Krakow University of Economics, the rules for undergoing student internships are regulated by:

  • Regulations of student apprenticeships – introduced by rector’s order No. R.0211.16.2022 of March 23, 2022.

  • Study plans approved by the Faculty Councils – in accordance with the National Qualification Framework and with education standards at individual fields of study.

procedure

Obligatory internships step by step:

The following is a brief procedure for selecting compulsory internships at KUE:

  • 1
    Choosing a company’s apprenticeship.
The first step is to choose a compulsory internship company.
  • 2

    Internship programme and contract
Then you need to prepare an internship programme and a contract. Compulsory placement contracts are signed on behalf of the university by the head of the relevant department to which the student belongs. The contract should be prepared in 3 copies. After signing the contract, one copy is stored in the cathedral, which is obliged to keep a register of apprenticeship contracts. The second copy is retained by a student, and the third company organizing the practice.

  • 3

    Report
A placement report must be submitted to the placement supervisor in the department in order to receive credit for the student placement.

Under ‘Documents to download’ you will find all the documents related to the internship, i.e.: internship regulations, referral to student internship, agreement for the organization of student internship, internship report, and application for internship credit.
